Please read carefully. All policies in this agreement are strictly enforced.

The Client agrees to the following terms of service:
1- Our new office hours are: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Our new service hours are: Monday-Friday 10:00 am to 4:30 pm
2- All services are required to be paid in advance with a credit/debit card or bank transfer. We DO NOT take checks or cash.
3- For clients with regular dog walking schedules a credit/debit card on file is required. Cards will be processed weekly (every Friday).
4- For clients booking pet-sitting visits/vacation care, a credit/debit card on file is required, and payment is required 24 hours before starting services.
5- Due to the exclusive nature of overnight bookings, our pet sitters must decline all requests for overnights that coincide with the dates you have booked. Therefore, a security deposit of 50% of the total is required in order to book this service, this deposit will be applied to your final payment. Your deposit is refundable as long as cancellations are made at least 7 DAYS prior to the job start.
6- All weekday dog walking, cat sitting, or drop-in visit cancellations must be made by 8:00 am on the day of service. Cancellations made after 8:00 am will be charged the full price of the visit.
7- All weekend dog walking, cat sitting, or drop-in visit cancellations must be made by the end of business the previous day to avoid being charged the full price of the visit. (Check our office hours)
8- There is a $20 late payment fee per day, meaning that if we don't receive your payment or can't process your card on the day stated above (depending on the service scheduled) this fee will be applied. If you are having issues with your bank or are waiting for a new credit card please contact us and we can work it out.
9- Due to high demand and short staffing, we are now scheduling dog walking, cat sitting, and drop-in visits services in 2-hour time slots from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. We are no longer able to accommodate evening-night walks. Weekend services are subject to availability and must be scheduled 1 week in advance within office hours.
10- A short notice fee of $7.00 will be applied to all those services requested less than 24 hours in advance.
11- Mornings before 10 am, evenings after 4:30 pm, and weekends are an additional $10 per service (subject to availability)
12- For PET SITTING CLIENTS: The client agrees to notify Chicawoof! immediately in the event the client is delayed in returning home. The client further agrees to pay for any additional visits, walks, or stays required until the client returns home.
13- The client authorizes Chicawoof! to enter the client's home to provide the services listed herein, and/or written on any invoice or as requested by the client in any telephone conversation, email, written or sent through Precise Pet Care.
14- All pets are to be currently vaccinated. Should Pet Sitter be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from the Client's animal which has not been properly and currently vaccinated, it will be the Client's responsibility to pay all costs and damages incurred to the Pet sitter. The client agrees to supply all updated vaccination records. ALL DOGS MUST BE PROPERLY AND CURRENTLY VACCINATED. If your pets are not up to date on their vaccines there is a big possibility that our insurance may not cover any or all incidences.
15- If the dog walker/ pet sitter is bitten by any of the client's animals and it is serious enough to warrant a trip to the doctor or emergency room the client is responsible for all expenses incurred by the injury, including but not limited to the medical bill(s) and/or co-pays.
16-We understand there are dogs that can have a hard time warming up to a dog walker. We'll do our best to gain your pooch's heart but keep in mind that we ARE NOT dog trainers, we are dog walkers and pet sitters so we only can do so much. If your dog is really having a hard time getting used to their dog walking routine we highly recommend exploring a different pet care option such as doggy day care.
17- If a pet(s) becomes ill while under the care of Chicawoof! and medical care is needed in the best judgment of Chicawoof! the client authorizes Chicawoof! to transport the pet(s) to the client's veterinarian (or one who is available). Chicawoof! agrees to make every effort to contact the client prior to obtaining emergency veterinary care. The client authorizes Chicawoof! to take the client's pet(s) to another vet or an Emergency Clinic for Animals when the client's veterinarian is not immediately available. The client further agrees to promptly reimburse Chicawoof! as soon as they return home for any expenses incurred for any medical treatment or emergency care. We recommend having a credit card on file with your vet before you travel.
18- The client releases Chicawoof! from all liability related to transportation, treatment, or expenses, resulting from any emergency or special needs as determined by Chicawoof!. All claims will be filed with our insurance company when applicable, but we have no control over the outcome.
19- Chicawoof! agrees to provide the services stated herein in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Chicawoof! including for injury to or death of a pet, unless arising from deliberate negligence on the part of Chicawoof! or their authorized representative(s). All claims are filed through our insurance company.
20- Chicawoof! is not liable for injury to, or loss of, any pets allowed, at the direction of the client, access to a dog door and allowed outside the client's house unattended. We do not walk dogs without being on a leash for the dog(s), you, and our protection. If a dog door presents any issues, we reserve the right to close the dog door and add visits at our discretion. The client agrees to pay for all of the extra visits as soon as they return home.
21- The client agrees to reimburse Chicawoof! for the cost of materials necessary for satisfactory performance of duties; and/or for any emergency expenses incurred resulting there from. This includes charges for extra visits that may arise due to any unforeseen circumstances. This also includes but is not limited to purchasing dog or cat food or any supplies that were not left available at client's residence. This includes a $30 trip fee.
22- The rate for all major holidays will be at an added premium of $15 per service. The premium will be charged during the following dates:
-December 18th through January 2nd
-Martin Luther King Jr. Day
-President's Day
-St. Patrick's Day
- Easter: Saturday and Easter Sunday
- Memorial Day: Saturday, Sunday, and the Last Monday of May.
- Independence Day: 4th and 5th of July
-Labor Day Weekend: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
-Thanksgiving: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
23- For Holiday reservations, a deposit of 50% of total services is required at the time of booking, the remaining balance must be paid the day before the first service. If a deposit is not received, the reservation will be forfeited.
24- Cancellations of services scheduled to be performed during the holidays mentioned above must be made at least 7 days before the first day of services to avoid paying a cancellation fee equaling half of your original reservation cost.
25- Our first meet and greet is completely FREE, but please make sure you have the keys, garage code, or any home access arrangements figured out to avoid a $25 fee if we have to stop by again to get your home's key.
26- Access to your home by others: WE DO NOT JOB SHARE! If you have someone else also caring for your pets at the time you are booking our services, WE WILL NOT accept the booking. We are professionals and carry liability insurance and we take the care of your pets and home very seriously. We are solely responsible and require that we are the only ones caring for your pets or we will decline services.
27- While Chicawoof! is contracted and hired to care for your animals and the client allows any other person(s) access to their home during Chicawoof's contract period, Chicawoof! cannot be held liable for any damages to property or pets as a result. Please notify us if someone will be in your home or if any other person has keys. (ex. Housekeeper, lawn or pool persons) Please also notify any person(s) who may have access to your home that we are coming and not to enter your home at this time. If we find someone else in the house that we are not aware of we will call 911 for our own safety. We reserve the right to cancel any and all visits with FULL payment should someone else be in the home during the owner's absence and with the owner's knowledge
28- We are always happy to see your pets but please keep in mind that we ARE NOT an on-demand service. We are a small business with a small team, and we'll do our best to accommodate your pet if something comes up last minute and you need our services. However, availability is not guaranteed, especially when it's the middle of a work day and the team is already out working their route.
29- Services must be booked through email at info@chicawoof.com, texting our phone number: 773-23408279, or through the Precise Pet Care portal. If you book a service in a different way, we WILL NOT be responsible for any incidents, scheduling issues, problems, or damage to your property or pet.
30- We don't answer the phone when we are taking care of your pet, so please email us at info@chicawoof.com or text us at 773-234-8279 and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
31- The term of this agreement shall commence on the day this agreement is signed. Upon the client's request to provide services in the future via phone, email, or in person, the client agrees that this agreement shall be extended, in its entirety, without further written authorization. The client fully understands the contents of these terms of service and agrees to the terms and conditions herein. The client further agrees to pay any additional charges due when the services have been completed. In the event any single part of this agreement shall be determined to be invalid it shall have no bearing on any other part of the agreement.
32- This agreement is in force with the very first service visit and shall be extended or renewed upon the client's request to provide services in the future.
